My research focuses on ways teachers’ racial bias relate to their classroom practices as well as children’s well-being and developmental outcomes. I examine the ways teachers’ beliefs about causes of racial inequity and emotional responses (e.g., self-report, physiological) to student misbehavior impact teachers’ discipline decisions and social emotional learning practices, as well as children’s outcomes to identify anti-biased teaching practices.
