This workshop unpacks disrespect and outlines elements and strategies for dignity building, including workshopping practices that support a culture of respect during organizational meetings.
Navigating Contentious Conversations: An Introduction to CLARA

This workshop approaches C.L.A.R.A. (Calm, Listen, Affirm, Respond, Add) communication as a tool for engaging in difficult conversations respectfully. Utilized to facilitate diverse dialogues worldwide, this method builds common ground between people in conversation, allowing more open and honest exploration of differences.

Speak Up! Bias Prevention Workshop
75 minutes, virtual
Developed in partnership with Learning for Justice, Speak Up! is a call to action for all members of the university community to respond when they observe bigotry and to be vigilant about disrupting personally held bias. Participants will learn how to use the four speak up strategies to speak up against injustice.
