The Identity and Leadership (I-LEAD) program is designed to provide faculty with opportunities to enhance their leadership, increase effectiveness at navigating identity-related challenges on their leadership journey, and build career-enhancing and supportive networks.
All full-time faculty in a positional leadership role are encouraged to apply.
Positional leaders have a formally designated responsibility within their academic unit, such as oversight of program development, student recruitment, hiring, or retention. Examples of positional leadership roles are:

Share experiences, give and receive constructive feedback, and network with diverse leaders across the university.
Gain individualized support to strengthen leadership skills, discover growth areas, set goals, and change behavior.
Coaching can be especially helpful as you transition into new roles, face challenges or prepare to take on more responsibility.
As a result of participating in the I-LEAD program, faculty will:
Assess their behaviors, motivations, and stressors to increase their leadership acumen and influence.
Generate a leadership identity that is grounded in intersectional life experiences and effective leadership practices
Develop a more nuanced understanding of how identity, positionality, and leadership intersect to be able to intentionally navigate academic leadership.
Create strategies and share best practices for combating challenges that may emerge in academic leadership
Expand networks to reduce isolation, build community, and increase access to leadership opportunities.
